Birthday Celebration #1- 111209

Before I go into the intended post, here's an update on Project 365:

#61- 091209 I have a new set of sofa!!!!

The old one was so worn d coz we've been using it for years. About ten years I think.

I kept asking people to come to my house to look at it (and of course to take a seat on it ;p). Coz its effing comfy. Seriously.

Goodbye old sofa...you had served us well for a good ten years. We'll miss you...

Now its at somewhere where people need a set of sofa but couldn't afford. We gave it away to charity. I hope they found a new place to serve.

#62- 101209 Love bright blue skies with fluffy clouds...coz they are just so nice.

Ok now to the point of this post. Oh before that again....honey dear... HAPPY 4 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS!!!! Love you more than anything in this world. *smooch*

So like any other Fridays I had to go to work but I was extra bubbly coz its my birthday.

There's this blog that I'm reading recently and this girl talks about the typical MM (MM=meimei=young girls) camwhore pics. Most of the poses that she talks about are those that I do. After work I went to church (like usual) but today was different coz we had this special event called Adam's Night. So the event is to pamper all the guys at our church but at the same time trick them. So we planned to bring them to a dinner somewhere and served them like a king. But the dinner place was not going to be fabulous but we're asking them to wear formal. Haha~ We even bring them turning round Malim in the girls' cars making them think that they're going somewhere far. Haha~ It was quite fun to look at them looking like super excited and ganjeong at the same time.

So the place we went for dinner is actually the KFC at Pandan Malim. No pictures of the whole event but after awhile of tricking them and serving them at the same time, the whole event changed into another event all together...my birthday celebration =)

This Paulie damn funny lor. After practice he walked up to me and held out his hand: "Happy Birthday". I looked at the clock and its already 12am which is like 12th already. So I said: "过了啦！" (Over d la). He said: "快点！还有一秒！" (Faster! There's like a sec left!") Haha~ He said he wanted to be the last to wish me. Funny la my friends.

We ended the night with Everlyn giving out souvenirs for the Adam's Night which is an apple for everyone with that note on the apple. It says...To: Adam, From: Eve. Haha~ Great idea right?

Remember the bible story about Eve giving the fruit of life to Adam after the snake asked her to eat it. The apple symbolize the fruit of life...so this is to remind the guys that the girls are always evil wth. We will always wanna take the men down. Haha~ NO la... its just a souvenir.

Had a wonderful evening with the church mates and had lot of laugh. Thanks to everyone who turn up that night. If you didn't then sorry la...you miss out free cake and KFC =p

Prinsezz Can Cook =)

So on the afternoon of my birthday I've decided that I'm gonna cook something special for myself. Before this I'll just simply throw in the food I found in the fridge into the pot and call it lunch.

The night before I had some squid cooked in the peranakan way (so my mother said). I asked my mother to teach me how to do it so that I might be able to cook it on my own. So she did. She said some peranakan aunty taught her one so must be a peranakan dish la. But whatever la kan? As long as its nice to eat I don't care what dish it is.

During the afternoon, I searched for squids but couldn't find them. Mum said prawns could be cooked this way too so I just changed the recipe to prawns la.

So first put some oil onto your pan and then when its heated throw in the onions.

Those who knows me well will know that I do not eat onions. But mum said that if there's no onions in this dish it will taste rather weird/something is missing. So I throw in the onions but removed them later when eating.

This chili/sambal paste was bought by mum from the peranakan lady that she learned this dish from. Too lazy to make our own so had to buy =p

So add in the chili/sambal paste into the pan with the onions.

Then add in half a lime (or lemon) with a pinch of salt and sugar. This will add flavor to the dish.

After frying all the above ingredients together, it'll look something like this.

Then add the prawns (or squid if you're using the squid).

This is how it'll looks like after mixing the paste with the prawns (squids).

Then you'll need Carnation milk. I have no idea what is the real name for the milk coz I've always called it Carnation milk. Its not condensed milk and its not sticky like that you know. I can't really find out from the tin coz my mother store it in this plastic bottle after pouring it out form the tin. So... I really don't know what its called.

But I found out about it and update this k? *update!!! Thanks to Eevon. I came to know what the milk is called. Its called condensed milk!!! So there you go =)

Add the Carnation milk. To be precise, two tablespoons of the Carnation milk.

And its all done!!! After some stirring la of course.

Yum yum!!!

So yeap had that prawn dish and some vege for lunch. And the clear porridge that I made was special as well I added some dried scallop and dried oysters to eat. So damn sweet. Not seen in the picture coz it was still in the pot.

Anyways, the prawn dish was awesome as well. Hehe~~~~ Didn't think that I could make it as good as mum. I thought it might lack something or taste weird but it was good. So proud of myself. =)

Next dish I'm gonna learn from mum is the sweet sour squid that she always make for my lunch box on Saturday. Super duper yummy as well.

K la... gotta go do laundry and some other stuff.

The day that I got super tipsy...

BTW before I start... today's my birthday. So happy birthday to me. Yay!!! HAha~

So yeap I got super tipsy on this event coz I drank a lil too much. Not drunk but just extremely high. Haha~

Its Siew Han's birthday on 30th so a week he sent us an invitation with these rules:

Then he changed the venue and sent another funny sms.
Thrown into the river coz the restaurant we're going was beside the river. And "tanjuberrymud"... Super funny.

So I went to get him a present even though he said I don't have to. But the place he asked to go to was really like quite high class. Quite nie la. Its like some fine dining place. So must get.

Its a hair and body wash for men. Lovely smell.

No points for guessing where its bought from.

I also did a card for him coz I needed to find my artistic self back. And the process was fun too. Gonna do more cards from this day on.

So we went over to Harper's at Jonker Street and had the dinner. But before the dinner starts, we asked the birthday boy to open his presents first.

This card was given by all of us and was did by Deepa.

It has all our lipstick marks on it and the one you see the biggest in the left corner is Ann's big mouth. Hahahhaahhahahahaha~ Inside story that no one will find it funny except for us.

Siew Han thought it was Sinren's. HAhahahaha~

Then the drinks came or should I say the happy juice came...

The lobsters that Siew Han ordered as side dish or something. I think I started to go tipsy d so I don't remember what it's called.

The desserts which I had very blur memory of. I think I finished the creme brulee coz they think its not nice. And if I remembered correctly, it was not as nice as the one I had at godma's wedding.

I think because I was tipsy, I failed to camwhore. Pictures came out mostly blur. =_=

Started camwhoring with Ann coz we sat side by side. Thank God it was not blur coz I used the tripod =p

Monday and Tuesday

Ok so instead of coming back on next Monday to post another re-cap I've decided to post a short one today.

So sorry guys. I'm really busy so I hope you guys will still read me even though I'm very boring now.

Anyways, here's a video of what I've been practicing for the pass one month...

The song is Lord, I worship you by I don't know who. Actually we have incomplete dancers that night (Kelvin coz he had a headache) but decided to record it so that we would know what to improve on. Friday's the rehearsal!!!

Anyways, there's lots of stopping coz it was not fully complete at that time. Will record again soon coz its complete now.

And I think the song's kinda laggy right? I haven't watch the uploaded one so I wouldn't know. Sorry. Anyways sorry about the laggy-ness. I think the BB video cam receives sound slower or something.

#59 071209 Tired from dance practice but its all good coz I can finally do some exercise after slacking from my cycling routine. Hehe~ =p

Even though I'm tired I did another purple look just for the fun of it. Its erm...some sort of smokey purple look with winged eye liner and heavy eye lashes. Suitable for late night partying/clubbing. If you love purple looks, this is one you should do for this Christmas/New Year Eve celebration.

Will do tutorials soon after I'm not in a bitch mood.

#60- 081209 I'm in a terrible mood and mama decided to cheer me up by bringing me to DP to shop and bought me Gelatissimo ice cream. Yay!!!

Gelatissimo (I don't know if I've got the spelling right) is situated on the stairs which connects the DP first phase and second phase. Its near the Bank Islam ATM.

The ice cream is quite expensive...RM7 for two scoops of different flavors but its really good.

I had passion fruit and mango in the pic...sweet+sour= happy dookie =)

Went on a clothes testing frenzy...at Dees Simplicity (DP) and Hoka (MP)

Actually my mum is the best shopping partner coz she just throws in clothes for me to try. Then she gives constructive comments (like... My goodness! You are truly fat, Gosh! Your butt is sticking out...etc. HAha~). If the piece of clothing is nice, she'll say either a) (for cheap ones) "Buy la what you waiting for? Difficult to get cheap clothes ok?" b) (for expensive ones) "Buy this next time k? But make sure you buy this coz its very nice" Haha~

Anyways, I love that black tube dress and grey dress with ruffles (if you don't know which ones I'm talking about please click on the pic to enlarge). Planning to get both. =p But the grey one had some minus points coz it made my tummy looks quite big. So might only get the black dress.

My new favourite place to shop is now Dees and Hoka. Its like Sungei Wang in Melaka. Me love!!!

Well after trying so many clothes I did buy two out of eight I tried which are the above.

The flowery spag (coz I'm lazy to search for right spelling, I've decided to put the abbreviated one...hahah~) top is very comfy in texture. Its very cute and romantic (?). Suitable for dates.

As for the flowery dress/top, I've been looking high and low for this type of dress/top. So its a dream come true for me. So its a must buy la no matter what.

Anyways, its a dress (I think) but its too short for me so probably I'm gonna wear it as a top.

So as you can see I love flower prints a lot. ANd I can hear my bf at KL looking at this post and say: "又买花花衣?!?" (Bought flower prints again?!?) Well darling, you'll see a whole wardrobe of flower prints soon. Well, its the only prints that make me feel feminine mah... coz I can't really stand laces and I don't really wear pink clothing.

Will be going for another shopping trip soon coz I've not get what I want. Plus there's still a few shops that I've not walked in. I've not even finish walking around Hoka yet.

After about a month of practice, rehearsal is coming. So had to practice with the whole rundown and mic.

Don't really like that mic coz it makes my voice go weird.

#55-031209 Did this very pretty purple look with my new eyeshadow I bought last week. Can't really see with the bad lighting in my room.

Will do some Christmas/New Year parties look's tutorial soon coz was so into partying mood.

#56- 041109 My lunch: Cauliflower, Vine Tomatoes (written on the box), bacons and some mayo.

Supposed to be healthy but with the fatty bacon and mayo, its not so healthy d.

On the same night, went to Pandan Malim's food court to have dinner (totally forgot the food court's name). They had this new Japanese food stall. So I tried the Salmon Don but it tasted blah.

The Miso soup was good 'tho. Asked for second helping summore. Haha~

Remember Jia En? Carried her again but she didn't wanna smile anymore. Sad~~~~

She kept looking at me 'tho. So its quite difficult to take photos with her.

#57- 051209 Had chapped/cracked lips and it hurt. T_T It bleed a bit I think. But thanks to Vaseline, it was healed in the morning.

Simmy sent me this photo of a blown up Stitch at Sunway Pyramid. OMG!!!! So damn cute I wanna die. Can somebody steal it and give it to me. I wanna put on my porch. Hahahahahahah~

#58- 061209 Went to Portuguese Settlement for dinner with the family to celebrate three things: my mum and dad's wedding anniversary, mum's birthday and my birthday.

Not much picture taken coz I left my camera coz we went right after I finish work.

We had (from top to bottom) kangkung belacan, squid fritters, butter garlic lala (mussels) and sweet sour crabs.

After dinner (and very full I must say) we walked around and I just realised they built a jetty at Portuguese Settlement. Nice but too dark. Quite scary actually.

Went home and mum started to decorate our Christmas tree. Yay!!! Now the house is so Christmassy!!!

Last Week~

Recap of last week's happenings...

#45- 231109 Tried the new pink Pringles. Its actually grilled shrimp flavor.

I don't really like it. Maybe its my phobia towards food colouring that looked too fake gua. Not that I don't like the colour. But the colour made me feel like I'm eating colouring and blocked out all the grilled shrimp taste.

Yea, the first photo was edited. Hehe~ Coz too long didn't use xiuxiu d. So check if I still got it. Apparently I'm still pro at it =)

Anyways, went to watch A Christmas Carol on the same day. Quite boring la... but brought the Christmas mood. I love Christmasses =)

On the same day, I washed clothes and accidentally caused two clothings to change colour. You may not see it in these pictures but my dad's singlet (the top one) and my mother's white top (bottom) is now in a shade of baby pink. Hahahahahahahahah~ Quite nice la actually. But its so un-"man" of my dad to own a baby pink singlet.

This is on mum's top. Hahahaha~ So sorry mummy.

Its all thanks to this stupid red top of mine. HAhahhahhahahahah~

After Christmas the three of us sure become damn fat one. Coz eat supper almost everytime we go out. =p

Most of the English songs have weird MTVs. Only some have original ones. Sigh~ why all karaokes are like that huh? Made me wanna sing Chinese songs nie.

This is a pinkish white nail lacquer which is like the one that I'm most curious about. Wonder how its gonna look like. So gonna try this first.

I like this colour!!!! Its a purplish/plum colour. Always wanted to find this colour. Finally got it!!! Yay!!!

Bought a nail clipper...a pink nail clipper. Awesome!!!!

I need to buy one so I can cut my nails anywhere in case I forgot to cut at home. And also to cut my students' nails if they didn't cut it. You're not supposed to have long nails if you're learning piano and violin you know?

Its actually a very good nail clipper. I thought that its like those cheap nail clippers la. Look nice nie but can't cut properly. The blades are actually quite sharp.

Maybe can use for killing people. Ahahahhahahha~ Inside joke.

Check out the English on the packaging. Worst than mine sial. At least mine people can understand. this type of English even I can't understand it. HAha~

Bought this purple eyeshadow because the purple one I want from Revlon is not available here. =(

Went MP to get somebody's birthday present and tried BK's mozzarella sticks. And it was OMG-ish good. I ate 6 that day.

Can pull strings summore. So fun. Haha~

Actually I can make it also. But lazy la wanna buy all the ingredients.

Went to watch New Moon. Not as good as everyone was hoo-ha-ing about. Erm... I did hoo-ha about it before la. But its all the trailer's fault. So boring I nearly slept off.

Ann doing the wax hand thingy for Sim for his lame award. Quite exciting lor to see the process. Might do one one day. Looks very interesting.

Went Sakura House with mummy and had salmon sashimi which tasted awesome.

Thank god for Sakura House or else there's no more nice Japanese food to eat for me in Melaka.

Cute or not? Her name is Jia En. Got same fringe style with me summore. Hahahahahaha~

Its a super rare day that day. Coz usually when I go over to her house to teach her sisters piano she'll scream and cry on the top of her lungs when she sees me. So its not possible for me to ever get close to her. But on Sunday suddenly she let me carry her around and even smiled for my BB. Awwwww~

And I didn't even ask her to smile. I just asked her to look at the BB. She must be a natural.

But after that she didn't smile d. So you see its very rare.

So so cute right???? I love her. She's my new favourite baby. =)

Ok... that was last week.

Sigh my life is lifeless right?

And this month I'm so broke. T^T Coz many students stopped for the break. T^T So kesian.
